Mother of Whores was originally commissioned for With Legs Wide Open – A Whore’s Ride Through History, an exhibition opening today at Schwules Museum in Berlin. Juliana Fadil-Luchkiw and I have pulled it from the show in support of STRIKE GERMANY. Here’s our full statement:

These weapons, these instruments of death, are made by companies. These companies are owned by institutions and individuals who made money killing Anas. I cannot unsee what I saw, unhear the cries and the screems that I heard and unsmell the smell of festering wounds.

I will not use the collusive humanitarian language 'mourning thier deaths'. Anas like 14,000 other children were killed by the Israeli army using weapons given to them for that sole purpose by the USA, Germany, UK, Norway, Holland. These weapons did not grow on trees.

I will continue to tell the world about Anas my 13 year old patient burnt to death, Dareen the 9 year old who's foot was amputated. I will tell the world how brilliant and dedicated Dr Ahmad Maqadmeh was and how he chose to stay at Shifa hospital with his patients.
