punk5736.stark No, chains have a shared bridge. The agglayer is a service that generates proofs showing that the bridge is safe (unsound prover of one chain can’t infect the entire ecosystem).

Any chain will be able to bypass the agglayer and leave it entirely. This is a core design goal.

This is a common but basic misunderstanding of the AggLayer. It’s not an L2.

To see why: consider a chain that uses EigenDA for DA, a shared proving marketplace for proof generation, and a shared sequencer/proposer. Would you call this chain an L5?
