My mother was an artist and my father was a research meteorologist. My dad would marvel at a storm for the mechanics at play while my mom would see the sheer visual beauty of it all. Somehow, I think I got a little piece of both of them.

Look at this Field Maple leaf (Acer campestre). Backlit by the sun, it turned this warm, molten toffee colour. And just LOOK at the ice crystals that formed on the leaf surface!! Patterned like cobwebs, how are they even real 🤌😩
