Denim Day: Standing Against Sexual Violence 👖

Yesterday, the 1st Armored Division joined the global movement known as Denim Day to raise awareness, support survivors, and advocate for justice.

This past weekend, the 1st Armored Division hosted a BSRT event in the serene setting of Cloudcroft. It was a heartwarming gathering where our Soldiers and their spouses dedicated time to strengthen their bonds and navigate the challenges of military life.

This Day in 1AD History 📜

The 1st Armored Division was inactivated from its World War II service. During the war, 722 division Soldiers were awarded the Silver Star and 908 received the Bronze Star. The division received 5,478 Purple Hearts.

Shout out to 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division for their donations to the 2024 Army Emergency Relief Campaign and CONGRATS for hitting the Brigade's 10% participation goal!

This Day in 1AD History 📜

General John J. 'Blackjack' Pershing assumed command of Fort Bliss. Pershing received orders to take his command to Bliss to help lower tensions in the area caused by the Mexican Revolution.

The 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division trail flight carrying approximately 300 Strike Soldiers returned to their home station at Fort Bliss, Texas, after completing a nine-month rotation in support of Operation European Assure, Deter, and Reinforce.
