This is pretty much it. They reverse engineer the criticism to fit whatever the situation is, but the general resistance is just tax = bad because we’ve lived in a society that has long claimed things that have collective benefit < those that benefit the individual

They should never have been there IMO, but that doesn’t mean I don’t have empathy for fans who are losing their team. Relocating teams is a violation of the social contract that makes sports matter.
