We are also taught 'boys will be boys'.
We are taught responsibility.
And then we are taught to be responsible, not just for ourselves, but for men's responses to us & their actions towards us.
This makes us grow up fast.

@7Wimpund The 'game' gangs of boys chasing & capture girls. Once a girl was captured, the boys would lift her skirt & try to pull her knickers down. Staff turned a blind eye to this 'game', but would ring me, if a boy complained my daughter had hurt him, while defending herself.
