Last week, Altus AFB had the honor of hosting 'Legacy of the Spear,' a homecoming event for former commanders at the Mighty 97th. Nine homecomers, as well as 19th Air Force leadership, toured the installation to see innovations happening around the base.

The 97th Air Mobility Wing is hosting an aviation fair on Feb. 25. The event is free and open to the public, and kids of all ages are welcome. This is the inaugural event for the AAFB Aim Wing program.

This month, and every month, AAFB recognizes the long history of bravery and exceptional service of black military and civilian personnel. This February, we are joining the Department of Defense by 'Inspiring Change,' and celebrate the contributions of African American Airmen.

Last week, AAFB aircrew turned an obstacle into an opportunity, as they partnered with Travis AFB Official to continue the mission despite inclement weather in the local area.
