This is the eastbound side of the ten freeway. Caltrans District 8 is working to remove mud over a portion of it. But if you are heading towards #PalmSprings or in that direction turn around and find a nice spot to hangout until this backup clears.
A LOT of drivers stuck in the westbound lanes of I-10 near Cathedral City. On my drive in going east one lane was one allowing westbound traffic through now nothing it moving. We are at a standstill hoping Caltrans District 8 will get things moving before our bladders do.
I had so much fun reporting on the Shark Tank and learning about all the new products, ideas and inventions. sandiablochurro
Both Hwys 18/330 remain closed to residents and travelers as emergency snow removal operations continue in the San Bernardino Mtns. CHP Arrowhead & Caltrans District 8 have no nee updates on when escorts will resume for residents.
Finally! Mountain residents lining up for escort up Hwy 330. Both HWY 18/330 will be open to residents only from 5-9pm. CHP will escort up to 20 vehicles at a time. Best to carry chains. I have no information from Caltrans District 8 about R2/3 conditions.
#Caltrans8 crews did a phenomenal job clearing roads. BIG news, we will resume escorts on SR-18 & 330 tonight from 5-9PM. There is the potential of slides through the area, so they could be suspended if safety comes into play. Caltrans HQ CalSTA California Governor California Governor's Office of Emergency Services
.Sheriff's Aviation conducted an assessment of the current conditions in our local mountains. This will help us assist @sbcounty Public Works & San Bernardino County Fire with our ongoing relief response. For emergencies please call/text 9-1-1. Or call the hotline (909) 387-3911 for more info.
SBCO: SR-18 closed in both directions from Kuffel Canyon to Sky Park due to downed power lines. Please stay out of the area and off the mountain for crews to respond to the situation. #Caltrans8
