Someone reading this headline might get the impression that Hamas or the Israeli army killed an aid worker. In fact the victim was a Palestinian medic who got shot by a drunk Israeli cop while responding to an accident in Jaffa.

Foreign journalists should be given access to Gaza. But to say we can't tell the story without 'independent' Western journalists erases the Palestinian journalists who are doing so. When is a journalist not considered 'independent'? When they are Palestinian, it often seems.
