Another worrying issue for me from Gono statement is that he is saying ZACC was engaged and cleared everything. We all know ZACC is a creation of the 2013 constitution - so it could not have been existence back in 2006 when this deal was entered.

RBZ is giving up ZiG /ZWD in exchange for USD - so there is a nil Balance Sheet Effect.

It's not laissez-faire Economic principles to force any private sector entity to use ZiG or USD in a multicurrency system.

The Market should be liberal enough to allow private participant to decide their own mode of payment on each transaction.
