Today another 10/6 lifer came home. After more than 52 years, Walter was given his freedom. May we not forget that our prisons are filled with people who are aging and are no threat to public safety.

My mom Jan died today. She was a dedicated children's librarian who impacted countless kids. She was not particularly successful professionally and most of her work went unnoticed. But it still mattered.

And I just want to put that out into the universe.
