At least 16 people were arrested by Egy police from a women stand outside of UN Women Arabic .

The stand was in solidarity with the women of Gaza & Sudan. Before the assault & arrests, 3 representatives from the protest entered UN office to meet with staff & deliver a statement.

Egyptian women's rights activists, who were arrested and assaulted today for expressing solidarity with women in #Gaza & #Sudan , are not only standing against the Egy regime but also against a hypocritical intel community that has consistently betrayed Gazan, Sudanese,&Egy women.

Extremely concerned for the safety and wellbeing of these peaceful protestors arrested in Egypt. Security forces arrested a group of 18, including prominent women HRDs and journalists, for delivering a statement outside of the UN Women's office in solidarity with Sudan and Gaza.
