For an Autism class with 4-6 kids.

In 2022 you had €240-€360 per week to arrange trips, organise visitors, book activities & resources.

In 2024 you'll have €120-180 per week to do the same, despite cost of everything increasing

What an absolute disgrace! Yet again the Department of Education has not considered the massive impact on children, families and dedicated staff of a school.
This decision needs reversing.

New EPV day guidelines: Important - Summary

I'll start with facts then go to opinion.

There are significant changes to EPV Day summer courses as of this summer.

The most significant is the previous fully online, asynchronous courses are no longer allowed.

This is important. It's also astonishing that parent and advocacy groups didn't as much whimper about it. Classes will again be split when a teacher is out. When a class is split, children get babysat, not taught. I can't understand how they don't get angry at the DoE about this.

Found out today that the 4 day training for Autism Class Teachers opening a new class DOES NOT apply when it's the 2nd class in the school. Only for the 1st class.
