Actor Steve Coogan has joined protestors in a very high profile fight to stop sewage being dumped into Lake Windermere in the Lake District by the local water company, United Utilities.

He tells Susanna Reid & Ed Balls that he is calling on the company to clear up the lake.

I had the clearing to myself. I sat in the sunshine and boiled water for a cup of coffee with my small gas stove. I did this not so much for the hot drink but for the caesura, the enforced pause and stillness. And if you sit still in a wood, you will almost always be rewarded.⁠
