Yesterday there was a 3 hr traffic jam on my commute (typically an hour) because a police stand-off with a fleeing murderer blocked all lanes of the highway.

I grew up thinking honking in tunnels was normal. On vacation in the Smoky Mountains, people honked in a tunnel. It spooked my wife, whereupon I realized that not everyone thinks honking in tunnels is normal. It's only...Hawaii, Tennessee, and California?
