OKC held the Pelicans under 93 points in 4 straight games. They only did that 6 times in 82 regular season games.

Every time a guy who works for a betting website has a weird, aggressively negative tweet about a player, you can always scroll through their last couple tweets and realize they’re just reacting to a bad bet they made.

OKC's playbook has few plays but many options, and is hard to guard

One of those, 1-4 Flat Pop, punishes the defense no matter how they try to defend it

...as Jonas Valancuinas and the Pelicans discovered last night

Shoutout to OKC Forever for keeping track of the Jonas vs Larry minutes bet. Only 23 minutes tonight but still widening my lead on Andrew.

Great in-game adjustment from the Thunder.

Pelicans zone was working and they (like other zones) have a rule where the ball gets to the high post they go man - like in clip #1.

So the Thunder put SGA in the middle, get the matchup vs Nance & leads to an SGA 3.

Shoutout to OKC/Chip Engelland for having maybe the best 3pt shooting improvement in NBA history?

This year, 4 of OKC's top 6 (and 8/10) exceed the NBA average 3p%

Last year*, only 2/6 did

And 9/10 are making more 3s than before (Isaiah Joe's reputation is catching up to him)

I didn't realize that for the season, NOP opponents are shooting 34.9% from 3, 2nd-worst in the league. And that opponents shot 33.9% last year against them (worst in the league).

OKC has played NOP nine times over the last two seasons. The Thunder have shot above 33% from 3 in two of those games.

Looking at nba.com stats and that was the 4th-slowest game of OKC's season, in terms of pace. Felt like a college basketball game at points. What an ugly, beautiful win.
