🗺 Ensure you have an alternative navigation method like GPS or paper maps
📱 Download maps on your phone in advance
⏰ Inform someone of your whereabouts and expected return time

When recreating in bear country always:

✅ carry bear spray
✅ make plenty of noise
✅ stay in groups
✅ be alert for signs of bears in the area
