Got in a game of Two-up at the Townsville RSL with Bob Katter, Jacqui Lambie and Nita Green for Anzac Day.

We gather before the dawn for the generations of Australians since Gallipoli who have served in our name.

Every Anzac Day we honour all who have served, and all who continue to serve today.

It is our collective act of remembrance, reflection and gratitude.

Lest we forget.

Australians, Papuans and New Guineans, fought alongside one another across this landscape.

Together, we honour them.

We can walk the Kokoda Track today in freedom because of those who fought to keep it free.

The bravery of those who made the ultimate sacrifice here lives in our nation’s memory.

Together with Prime Minister Marape, I’ll be walking part of the Kokoda Track. We’ll be walking in the footsteps of giants.

From teachers and tradies, to ambos and aged care workers – every taxpayer will get a tax cut from July 1.
