I spotted this today in my walk around Pointe Claire village at a school next to a beautiful Catholic Church. I wonder if they have Inuit students that attend or whether they were inspired by the one in front of my house not far away? Inuksugait in the south.

I just discovered the Atwater Market AND the Jean Talon Market! This Inuk found smoked mussels from a small Gaspè fish store and this Resolute Bay kid LOVES radishes! Small pleasures for me. Nakurmiik Montreal.

Having come to Montreal from Nunavut, to connect with my Nunavik family has been incredibly amazing. Montreal is the “hub” for Inuit in Northern Quebec. I’ve met so many relatives to date. Look at these cuties…my cousin’s kids!

April 1, 1999. Nunavut Day celebrations. 25 years ago I hosted a 4 hr bilingual radio morning show on CBC at 6am then rushed to sing on stage at the evening celebrations with these amazing throatsingers from Kinngait. God rest their beautiful souls. Happy birthday Nunavut!

Happy Easter from beautiful Anuri Anne who will be 6 months old next week and still being very patient and very strong in the children’s hospital.

I wonder why the cartoonist used this depiction of a “qimuksiqti”. Can someone interview him and ask? But also, I wonder where the term “dog mushing” came to be? I can’t wait for that University of the Arctic, I expect to study the strange ways of white peoples.

Many First Nations in Canada lack clean water. In the water from our taps is contaminated & can't be 'fixed' by boiling. We collect drinking water from 1 of 2 dispensaries. My family uses 12 x 5-gallon jugs daily

Waterproof outfit in a qajaq in the Arctic Ocean! Inuit survived and hunted mammals in these for thousands of years.
