1927 Aloha in her Model T Ford being towed across a large river including another Ford in back. The water is over axles, can you imagine trying to navigate in the roaring 20’s and 30’s in area’s where there were no roads, on narrow tires and wide rivers of water, sand or mud!

Aloha, 24 years old, entered a writing contest in New York in 1930 and received a series of flying lessons. Later she would take lessons from her friend Art Goebel. She then purchased her own plane, a de Havilland “Moth” planning to fly Around the World for Women and Peace.
