Most wanted a physiological labour/birth, while acknowledging that birth can b unpredictable & frightening, that they may need to 'go with the flow'. If intervention was needed/wanted, women wanted to retain a sense of personal achievement &control through active decision-making.

Good to meet and then to listen to AnnaTheMidwife at NLNB22 @NormalBirthConf in Denmark talking about the experiences of women and birthing people making choices in maternity care.

Overall women felt they had ‘No real choice’. If women didn’t comply they felt stigmatised.

Very public deaths often bring up buried grief that people haven't been able to express or difficult memories. It's good sometimes to remember this is a kind of public space and to have some sensitivity that you don't know who is reading your words.
