A new study shows #frogs were the first known Caribbean vertebrates that dispersed to #Florida . They made the journey 20 million years ago, when much of Florida was still underwater.

I made paper mache masks for the event, one of a jumper, a crab and wolf spider. Had to make a Phidippus audax one first, the very special species that literally changed my life. It was the *returned* gaze of a tiny, very frightened male that flipped my world: right-side up.
