I was lucky enough to read an early copy. It's rare when the content is as good as the title! The collection is a tour-de-force of artistic alchemy: transforming loss and longing into light.

Love this piece by Lena Crown ! The concept is stellar, the language a light-show. One of many wonderful lines: โ€œIt looked like a pixelated body falling in slow motion down a flight of stairs, forever.โ€

wow, this is a gorgeous poem! Where was this on Valentine's Day for all the people who were looking to plagiarize other people's hearts?! I would plagiarize this heart :)

I have many talented friends who publicize their many talented deeds on Twitter. I am bad at Twitter. Ergo, I've missed many of these deeds. I would like to say that I have a life and that's why I'm bad at Twitter. This is not true. As is evident from my use of the word 'ergo.'

Congrats to @MarkLKeats on the chapbook publication! I've been a fan of Keats' since his early poems with Grecian urns, but, honestly, he gets better and better. More seriously, I've read drafts of many of these pieces and they're absolutely fantastic! Can't wait to get a copy ๐Ÿ˜€

Had a great time at the 804 reading series last night! Thanks to everyone who showed up and shared their work. And thanks to Lauren D. Woods and Andrew Bertaina for hosting and opening up their homes to everyone!

I know I've done something right when I'm on a list with Lauren D. Woods :) Super excited to be considered for the Moon City Fiction Award with these talented writers!!

Not only has this piece introduced me to a cool new word ('aphantasia'!), more importantly, this piece is full of surprising turns and insights and honesty. The author opened up new tabs in my brain. I don't know if 'hyperlink' is a verb. But I felt 'hyperlinked' :)

Wow, Christopher Notarnicola has a wonderful grasp of craft. Love the way he talks about storytelling! I'm super honored to have him review and think through this flash piece of mine with SmokeLong.

love the verve and humor and heart in this piece! Sample line: 'The sign over the beer garden depicted a phoenix emerging from its pile of ash. Renewal. A message too blatant to be mine.'

Had a fantastic night yesterday at a reading hosted by Andrew Bertaina and Lauren D. Woods! Fellowship and stories and some really solid metaphors to boot - what else can you want :)

An awesome-funny-heartfelt collection! Bertaina is one of the better Andrew storytellers out there. He lifts our moniker up.

We now have the cover art for our punk-prog literary band 'The Quills'. Now, we just need to record the album!

I've always enjoyed the image of Easter: a boulder rolled away from a sepulcher. A sudden return to life. Love is cardiac Easter. Here's wishing you all much love โ™ฅ๏ธ

It's Friday night and I'm on Twitter. I believe this is what St. John of the Cross called 'The Dark Night of the Soul' and what Pascal called 'The Night of Fire.' I fully expect to wake up as a Christian tomorrow.

Are you a D.C.-area author who has a book coming out with an independent press in 2023 (or do you know of one)? DM me ๐Ÿคญ
