English male, not in a relationship with a political party, seeks one which is competent, honest and adopts evidence based policies. No ideologues.

Putting aside the distasteful politics, it’s a disgrace that Matthew Rycroft let this through. Blatant electioneering with HMG resources on the eve of an election. Banana republic stuff and Rycroft should be better than this.

A magnificent scene of a passing horse herd in the mountains of France. This is a transhumance of horses on the Couserans mountains: it happens every year in spring and back in autumn

Jim Pickard 🐋 YouGov Hall is symptom of the Tories' apparent inability to do politics any more. They obsess about woke and boats and ignore the basics. A halfway decent candidate could have given Khan a good run for their money.

'Don't come here even if you're desperate or else we'll give you £3000 and fly you somewhere else where they'll give you a house.'

That's some deterrent. Job done. Well done, team.

Tories so desperate to get any flight to Rwanda before elections that they just paid one person to volunteer.

An extortionate pre-election gimmick costing UK taxpayers half a billion pounds. Should be putting that money into boosting our border security

Felt like a dam broke today as callers responded to news of Brexit-related food price rises by expressing regret for their 2016 vote. Always important to show compassion to well-meaning people who swallow lies & nonsense served up by liars & charlatans. globalplayer.com/podcasts/episo…

“It’s one of those things we’ve got used to over the years, but it is getting worse. We have seen raw sewage in the river, and that’s a regular occurrence – it’s not a one-off.'

At what point did someone decided we should except it, sewage in our rivers?

We've had 5000 days of Tory Rule today 😳 I've done some maths
🔹Since May 2010, the
NATIONAL DEBT HAS INCREASED,
on average,
by a staggering
£380 MILLION A DAY
- EVERY SINGLE DAY FOR

Which begs the question....
Where has all our money gone?

Tice's view on returning migrants to France without French consent is legally absurd, as explained here. But if it *were* legal, then Ireland could simply do it to the UK in turn.

“Before I got this job the number of boats had quadrupled” says Rishi Sunak

Imagine the shock when he reads the damning study by Durham University which has found the primary factor in the sky rocketing number of small boat crossings is the oven ready Brexit deal he championed

Conservative MP Mel Stride claims PIP benefit is thousands of pounds per month.

No it is an absolute maximum of £720 a month, and most people only get about £250.

Meanwhile he claims £1,250 a WEEK in rent on his expenses

There are so many issues which, on their own, justify booting out this shambolic government - healthcare, transport, child poverty - the list goes on and on. Here's another Tory disaster. theguardian.com/business/2024/…

It's only a '£75 billion increase' over 6 years if you assume that spending would otherwise have been frozen in cash terms for 6 years - i.e. only if the government was, until today, planning to breach its NATO commitments. This is such an unhelpful way to present the figures.
