Last week, some 250 mostly African asylum seekers sleeping on the street in Toronto were bused to shelter practically overnight.

Missing from the coverage was how a coalition of Black-led groups organized to do what no government did.

Yesterday, there was a march in Toronto's Gay Village in protest of the presence of unhoused people and substance users in barbara hall park in the village. Every single one of these people involved clearly forgets (see: intentionally ignores) the roots of queer liberation.
