We'll be sharing some project highlights in our final posts of 2023. First off, the Arches Project database has progressed well. All 8 resource models are finalised, and 1500+ terms have been collected in our African archaeological thesaurus.

The MAEASaM office was buzzing last week with our Arches Resource Model coordinators from different countries delving straight into the structure of the project thesauri and data models for the documentation of Africa’s archaeological sites and monuments.

Delighted to continue our support to Endangered Landscapes & Seascapes Programme & its large-scale nature restoration projects across Europe.
Our new grant, Arcadia’s largest ever, will help the programme to expand & embark on another challenge: restoring & recovering Europe’s seas for nature & people.

The Justino Valentim collection includes materials related to the endangered Vaihoho sung-stories of the Fataluku people of Timor-Leste.

The collection consists of 17 sung poems from the Lautem region & 5 Fataluku language dictionaries.
