The Articulate team usually gets together once a year for our annual retreat. Since we couldn’t meet in person this year, we went virtual and discovered new ways to connect. The end result was the BEST virtual retreat ever! Here’s what Articulate was up to:

We gathered around our computers to participate in escape rooms, office games, trivia challenges, daily yoga and meditation, employee-led “chill talks,” and more—entirely online, 2021-style. We got to bond in a totally different way than past retreats.

Every day we dressed up in fun themes like the 80s, staying cozy, game day, crazy hats and hair, and a tropical “vacation” day where we all left work early.

Articulate employees showed a different side of themselves by hosting their own “chill talks,” including digital scrapbooking, homebrewing, a poetry open mic, genealogy, calligraphy, tarot, Lotería, special fx makeup, Codenames, a pet party, Alien RPG, and so much more.

SVP Brian Gil even hosted a cooking class featuring his grandmother’s homemade gnocchi recipe! These were the end results:

Articulate also treated everyone to a delicious meal of their choice for our daily lunch bunches. (Some of us even saved room for dessert.) Yum!

On Wednesday, the whole company participated in competitive Go games that included a collaborative painting challenge. Each team could choose to paint anything, but little did we know, we all decided on the same one!

A bunch of Articulators in other sessions also chose Starry Night by Van Gogh. Great minds think alike!
