Former Labour Home Secretary Jacqui Smith and former Tory Chairwoman Sayeeda Warsi in complete agreement: the Rwanda scheme is more about political posturing, than it is about actualy solving the issue of small boat arrivals.

Good to see cross-party sense. ~AA Sophy Ridge

The Rwanda Law will haunt Rishi Sunak. He appears to have no airline contract for this affront to human rights and justice. He has spent a fortune on a measure certain to fail. And he has further trashed our national reputation. Shame on him and his his doomed Tory government

Tory MPs have just voted again to insist that Afghans who worked for our armed forces & who put their own lives at risk for our country can be sent to Rwanda.

Against military advice.

And against the pledges Ministers made to support those who supported us

Which political party was happy to have Savilles money, who entertained Saville at Christmas, who lobbied for Saville to get a knighthood & who gave Saville the keys to Broadmoor? It wasn't the Labour party who enabled this vile monster. So stop with all the Starmer/Savile crap!

Self-pitying Brexiters, whose vicious depictions of โ€˜Remainersโ€™ were as dishonest as they were dangerous, are now pathetically seeking sympathy for the consequences of Brexit! This, I confess, is a plot twist I did not foresee. The narcissism of these saboteurs is off the charts.

Labour source: 'It is absolutely incredible that Ric Holden and James Daly have been pressuring the police over Angela while sitting on this Mark Menzies case in CCHQ for three and a half months without thinking to report it.'

This is astonishing. The MP who made the complaint to police about wrongdoing by Angela Rayner ๐ŸŒน wonโ€™t or canโ€™t say what sheโ€™s alleged to have done wrong. Itโ€™s not sub judice; as far as we know no charges are imminent. So why not just say. Bit weasely, no?

Bizarre. The Tory MP is very flustered. Presumably he suspects that what heโ€™s said to the police is defamatory & so doesnโ€™t want to expose himself to legal action by repeating the allegations in public.
