1/2. We have detained a female under the mental health act in order to immediately safeguard her, this is after we were called to a trespasser on the tracks at #Gillingham . Officers attended, located the female with minor injuries and are making enquires with a triage team.

CAD 25-1378 PD COTY called to assist BTP Kent for a report of a male with a knife that had made off from Dover Station. PD COTY picked up a track and located the male hiding behind a wall in a rear garden wearing a balaclava. The male was then dealt with by BTP Patrols #PdCoty

A male remains in custody this afternoon having been arrested at #CanterburyEast for racially aggravated threatening behaviour towards staff. He currently remains in custody awaiting an interview by our early turn officers.

2/2. Thankfully her injuries are superficial and we have now managed to secure a place of safety at a specialist mental health hospital, whereby the female will be safe and get the help and support she needs from the most appropriately trained staff.

The male in this case was interviewed and bailed for Crown Prosecution Service to review the case in relation to bringing forward any charges.
