Please can anyone tell me how many solitary bee species are currently on the UK BAP list?

It was 13 a few years back (including the beautiful Northern Colletes bee) but I wonder if that number has changed? Thank you.

Studying Caddisfly larvae with my grandson for home school, & found these beauties in our pond! We think possibly Limnephilus rhombicus? Please can anyone tell me if they use existing short lengths of plant roots? Or cut them to size? ⁦Riverfly Partnership⁩ ⁦Buglife⁩

My brother, Peter, has Song Thrushes nesting in his garden. Their nest building skills were extremely hit and miss - more of the material ended up on the ground than in the nest - but they've successfully raised three beautiful chicks. I am GREEN with envy!

1. Struggling with identification of bees/pollinators and various other tricky insects groups? It has been my life's mission to make things easier, so check out this chain. Firstly, Steven Falk Flickr: flickr.com/photos/6307520…. It's a virtual museum and field adventure.

They have a legal duty to do it, you've paid them to do it, but they've done a runner with your cash. Now they want you to pay again.

An extremely cute little green beetle. A Green Tortoise beetle perhaps? But I’m not quite sure. He/she seems more shiny than the Green Tortoise beetle photos I’ve found so far…
Any help hugely appreciated ⁦The Coleopterists Society⁩

Learning to work with nature continues to give results.

I’ve struggled with bad erosion on my riverbank. Lots of attempts to reduce it failed.

I recently planted as much coppiced willow as I could. It has now come to life & will hold the bank together indefinitely, for free!

I have just seen a wolf crossing the road in eastern Poland. A real, live wolf. I was so excited I didn’t take a photo, but the memory will stay with me forever. 🐺amazing world, fantastic animals.

The first time this year I've walked through a tunnel of blackthorn & it's been warm & still enough to smell its rich honey scent in the air. Glorious.
On the Cornish coastpath.

Curlew's hauntingly beautiful cry can be heard through any seascape as the wind takes it to where it belongs.
When he shares his melancholy call with the world, it's not to cause sadness. He knows all songs exist to be heard, and his cry is a song too.
The song of his soul.

The Long-tailed Tits were back again yesterday, gathering nest-lining feathers.
They only produce 1 brood per yr - not surprising given the effort that goes into nest construction.
Notice how the birds balance on the unsteady bramble and carry on effortlessly with their task.
