WOMAN DIES AFTER CASTING VOTE : One woman voter, G Vijaya Lakshmi (65), Uppal, Hyderabad collapsed after casting her vote at Andhra Yuvathi Mandali polling booth No. 349. Immediately she was shifted to a private hospital in Uppal where doctors declared her dead due heart attack.

One spell of heavy rains two days ago in Hyderabad saw over 200 trees mostly Peltophorum pterocarpum (Konda Chinta), Delonix regia (Gulmohar) getting uprooted or their big branches getting crashed on roads. Despite this, the said trees are being planted on either sides of roads.
