Superb singing from our KS2 pupils this morning. I just sit at the piano and feel inspired by listening to it. Sets us up perfectly for Holy Week #powerofmusic

We cannot wait for others to lead the way. It's too urgent for that.

Want a better society? Well just look at your own agency, what you can do. Believe in the art of the possible.

As a society, we really do need to face up to the fact that there is less money and it is only going to get worse. As a result, we need to share more. We cannot rely on the state alone to achieve equity across society.

Such optimism, wisdom and expert knowledge from Leora Cruddas CBE this morning as part of #NPQEL conference.

I just wish we could have a long-term approach to this. Invest properly, think wisely, care deeply.

By the time a child celebrates a 5th birthday, so much of that child's development has already happened. We simply must address the inequalities here in order to prevent a gap forming which stains our society in its injustice. Because these gaps are growing.

This Lent, #PopeFrancis offers us these words of encouragement:
'...To pause in prayer, in order to receive the word of God, to pause like the Samaritan in the presence of a wounded brother or sister.
Love of God and love of neighbour are one love.'

Anybody who talks about leadership should be humble, more ‘we’ than ‘me’. I’m not a fan of those graphs that show the impact of leadership (ie ‘my’ leadership). It’s always team work, some slices of luck, fortunate timing. And ‘outcomes’ are always richer than what you can count.

Year 11 parents are invited to participate in a free webinar around helping your child to prepare for exams. The next session is scheduled for 5th March at 6pm and is provided by Elevate who recently worked with the students around study skills.
