Today in class I realized there is something more important to teach our students, other than whether WE think they should use AI or avoid it. And it's to let them try it for a purpose, and THEY decide the extent to which it may be helpful or harmful for what THEY need to do

Mentoring is such a rewarding experience. I don't think I do it because I am generous, I do it because it is just so rewarding to see and feel our impact with other people, and I learn so much when I mentor others, even those with much less experience than mine

I don't know about you, but I was really impressed that one of my students tied Chimamanda Ngozi Adeche's 'danger of a single story' with our discussions around AI, and talked about 'AI's single story' that many people hold (about how gr8it is, when in reality it is more complex)
