Our S3 apprentice boat builders had a great day at Cullen Sea School, completing another gunwale; gluing & clamping the mitre & scarf joints themselves. The rebated starboard ribs are ready for inner cappings and work has been started on 2 oars, with initial laminating & shaping.

Some of our S4 Orienteering group recently completed their Bronze Navigator Assessment day. The group worked well individually & together demonstrating their School Leaver Profile Skills such as problem solving, resilience and team working.

Preparations for our Celebration 24 are now underway. We warmly invite you to 'Save the Date'. We are looking forward to celebrating the many achievements of our learners - a highlight of our school year! 🏆

We look forward to welcoming our S3 parents & carers into school over the next two weeks-14, 15, 21 & 22 May for our S3 Passage Presentations! All S3's will present their Passage Portfolios on their Banff Academy journey so far & how they are ready for the Senior Phase.

Well done to Amy & Heather who passed their Grade 1 Riding Proficiency this week. Jessica has been invited to take part in the national dressage competition on 24 May. Pupils will also be taking part in the UK Countryside Challenge later this month. 🐴 Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA)

This week Depute Headteacher, Mr Kilpatrick, was joined for a hot chocolate and a chat by a group of S1-3 superstars who have used their School Leaver Profile skills to impress staff. Well done! 🤩 Whose turn will it be next week? 🤔 #HCF

This week provided an opportunity to meet with parents/carers from Macduff & Banff Primaries ahead of our 3-week S1 Transition programme in June. Three important pillars of our Banff Academy structure were outlined - Squad; Project Based Learning and School Leaver Profile skills.
