Our Early Years pupils and staff had a great day at Whipsnade Zoo today. This visit enhanced the children’s learning of their project ‘Ready Steady Grow’ and gave them the opportunity to explore different animals and their habitats. Whipsnade Zoo #BestofBeecroft

We all enjoyed 'Outdoor Learning Day' today; from science lessons, to maths lessons, to art lessons. We developed our skills whilst enjoying the fresh air and an alternative environment. #BestofBeecroft

Year 3 welcomed their parents, carers and extended families into Meerkat and Lion classrooms this week. We were all very proud to show and celebrate our learning and achievements. #BestofBeecroft

Year 5 have had an excellent National Numeracy Day. They solved an 'Escape Room Task' using lots of skills they have learnt in their maths lessons. #BestofBeecroft

Despite the rain, Year 6 had a great day at the zoo. We took part in a workshop about the ways animals have adapted to their habitats. We learnt the word 'prehensile'. We're really looking forward to our next science topic now. Whipsnade Zoo #BestofBeecroft

Penguin Class has been busy this afternoon learning a brand new skill. The pupils learnt running stitch using a needle and thread. They showed lots of patience and perseverance. Well done Penguins! #BestofBeecroft

Lions have been having a fantastic time exploring the theme of disco in our music lessons. As well as using our vocals to enjoy our new song 'Bringing us together' we learnt to read our very own scores of music and play along to the chorus on our glockenspiels! #BestofBeecroft

Tiger Class had great fun exploring all the fruits that are in their English text Handa's Surprise. They used their senses to touch, smell and then finally taste them. Mangoes and pineapple were the most popular! #BestofBeecroft
