That Andrews is allowed to get away, by the presenter, with his interjection at 25 seconds is extraordinary.

'This is why we need the migration pact', he says, when it's pointed out that 85% of deportations are not carried out.

We do not need a new law to enforce existing laws.

Both Simon Harris and Helen McEntee today saying no asylum seekers had been returned to UK since 2020 because of Covid and the subsequent High Court ruling which negated the UK’s status as a ‘safe’ country.

Worth noting: that court ruling was a month ago. courts.ie/view/Judgments…

Does anyone else feel like a big political shift is coming to a head given the momentum behind this story and how fast things are moving?

I had asked the Department of Justice to confirm for me the methodology used to get the figure of 80%, and the period which it refers to, but they missed the deadline and I've yet to recieve any response.

The only reason asylum seekers are pouring over the Northern border is because they think they're going to have an easier time in the Republic than they will at the hands of the UK government due to their Rwanda plan.

There are only really a few solutions here:

NOW: Sinn Féin's Pearse Donerty says that 'The people are ready for change. They're ready to let Sinn Féin lead this country.'

He said that Sinn Féin will elect a record number of local election candidates on June 7th.

Labour Party Justice spokesman Aodhán Ó Ríordáin has said that “building more prisons” is “a misguided attempt to address symptoms rather than root causes” of jail overcrowding, adding that “prison should be a last resort' in the criminal justice system.

1. You criticised my journalistic colleague who got pepper-sprayed in the course of her work, saying that she should have known better than to go near a dangerous riot for her reporting.

2. I responded by defending my co-worker, simply…

I'll obviously be following up on this and asking the IPO if they are aware that almost a dozen people are allegedly buying drugs on a nightly basis on their front doorstep, and see can I corroborate this further.

'Big trouble here': A Palestinian asylum seeker living in the IPO tent city on Mount Street has told Gript that he can't sleep at night because as many as '10 or 11' other asylum seekers living in the tents are buying drugs.

He asked to have his face blurred to avoid 'trouble.'
