The economics of imperialism: A new study shows how 'the US’ exorbitant privilege has become a rich world privilege'.

The world system has persistent capital income transfers from the poorest to the richest, equal to 1% of GDP of top 20% countries, and 2% of GDP for the top 10%.…

This is the reality of the so-called 'rules-based international order': The West (led by the US) makes the rules to serve its interests, and orders everyone else around

Supposed 'multilateral' financial institutions like the IMF are controlled by the West (and the US has a veto)

When the US government claims to support a 'two-state solution', it means Israeli colonialists get two states: their own apartheid regime, and also all of the occupied Palestinian territories they colonize with US support.

The US empire will never support a Palestinian state.

The US government repeats nonstop its meaningless 'commitment to a two-state solution'. But when it comes to tangible action, the US has always opposed a Palestinian state, backing Israeli colonial expansion

The US made that clear by vetoing a proposal in the UN Security Council

Bottom line: rich countries pretend to be in favour of fair & open markets, devlopment for all etc. but in practice the way financial markets are organized & regulated leads to an enormous income transfer from global South to global North, year after year & growing over time

Indigenous land defenders explain the link between their fight and that of Palestinians.

'It's Canada and the US that occupies our territory, that are funding and supplying weapons to Israel to occupy Palestine.'

The United States 1st veto was to protect Rhodesia.

Its 2nd veto was to defend Israel’s attack on Syria.

Its 3rd and 4th veto were to protect South Africa’s occupation of Namibia and apartheid in South Africa.

Mao said in 1965: “Israel and Formosa [Taiwan] are the bases of imperialism in Asia. You are the front door of this great continent; we are the back door. They created Israel for you and Formosa for us'.

Today, Taiwan separatists are allied with genocidal Israeli colonialists

The US-backed separatists in Taiwan are openly allied with the colonialist Israeli apartheid regime as it commits genocide against the indigenous Palestinian people.

Never forget this when infantile anti-China activists who promote Taiwanese separatism claim to support Palestine

The USA is the biggest impediment to world peace.

It just unilaterally vetoed a UN Security Council resolution that could have recognized Palestine as a state.

12 of the 15 UNSC members voted in support. 2 abstained (UK and Switzerland). The US vetoed.
