Last week we played our second game of Football this season against 'The Milestone School'. It was a good spirited and respectful match and both teams fought hard to win.
Staff from both schools were very impressed by the talent and the sportsmanship displayed by both sides.

We have had a super busy week here at Bettridge with visits to Father Christmas, Christmas dinners, class parties and two wonderful assemblies put on by our amazing students and staff.

Bettridge are now in the full Christmas spirit and would like to thank @tetburytrees for their very generous donation of this years Christmas Tree and @ccpcharity for all of their help and support with this years scamper hamper donations.

A big thank you to the volunteers from St James' Place who worked through the wind and the rain in the October half term to help weed and tidy our school grounds!

A big thank you to all who supported our 50th Anniversary celebrations on Saturday. It was great to see you all! John George, Bettridge's first Headteacher, even got to meet Pikachu and Mario!

Last week pupils enjoyed a busy opportunities week learning all about the world of work. There were lots of exciting trips out including Wagamama's, Pizza express & The greenway Hotel. We also had some fabulous workshops in school including African drumming & sensory bubbles.

The final day of Opportunities Week gave us the big reveal of the each class's canvas artwork celebrating 50 years of Bettridge . Parents enjoyed looking at these before the Coffee Morning. More posts to follow next week about all the amazing 'opportunities' from the week!

Children were able to sit and interview the athletes about a range of topics, not all sport related! A massive thanks to Irwin Mitchell who facilitated and organised the day for Bettridge. Their continued support increases the opportunities available to our pupils regularly.

A HUGE thanks to everyone who supported Sports day yesterday. The children at Bettridge all took part in a variety of sporting activities ! With support from British Athletics we welcomed Harrison, Mikey and Piers who are all British athletes from the Olympics and Paralympics.

A big thank you to Irwin Mitchell and H.R Owen who kindly donated Easter Eggs to pupils this year. Both companies are great supporters of the School and we are so thankful for their continued support of the School. Happy Easter from everyone at Bettridge.

This week some pupils attended a mock interview. Interviews were held at Oxstalls business Centre and supported by the GFirst LEP. Pupils were interviewed by a business professional and were taken through a realistic interview. Pupils did amazingly and received positive feedback

World Book Day 2023. Just another fantasic day here at Bettridge School with some amazing outfits from both pupils and staff.

Yesterday Bettridge fundraised for Rare disease day by wearing bright colours and stripes! This is the globally-coordinated movement on rare diseases, working towards equity in social opportunity, healthcare, and access to diagnosis/therapies for people living with a rare disease

We have all been really enjoying exploring the new Multi-Sensory Room. Time in the Multi-Sensory room helps improve pupils visual, auditory and tactile processing, as well as their fine and gross motor skills. Thank you to the Sedbury trust for the donation for the room!

2023 is now in full swing at Bettridge, with students in the green pathway working on health and fitness, letter formations and learning labs. It is wonderful to see the progress being made by all.

With the first full week back it has been great to welcome all the students and staff after the Christmas period. FE students jumped at the opportunity to get back out into the community and visit Tesco cafe.
