In #Kaziranga , AFD_en 🇫🇷 🇪🇺 has partnered for 12 yrs with #Assam govt to protect biodiversity & support local communities. Results of this ₹720-Cr project:
- 22K hectares reforested
- 7,500 skilling program beneficiaries
- anti-poaching camps & watch towers to protect wildlife (2/7)

Submerged aquatic vegetation in rivers play key role in vital ecosystem level processes-here is one example.

One more reason why we should conserve freshwater ecosystems-appreciating the beauty of nature is priceless.

A great start led by colleagues of Wildlife Institute of India representing Global South.
