1989/1991- HBD Lewis Tillman. To play on Parcells' #NYGiants as a reserve, you had to be able to play special teams. Playing w/ Reyna Thompson, the best special teamer in NYG history, you can get overshadowed, but Tillman was outstanding & made several big hits

1993: HBD Lewis Tillman turns 58. He was #NYGiants 4th rounder in 1989 out of Jackson St where he broke Walter Payton's records. A backup RB/special teams demon, he started for an injured Rodney Hampton & rushed for 104 yards on 29 carries & a TD in win at DC

2000: Happy 53rd Birthday to #NYGiants CB Jason Sehorn. Sehorn made 1 of the 2 best plays I saw in person (Odell's 1 handed catch the other). This juggling/diving pick 6 in the 2000 Divisional Playoff Round vs Philly pretty much put the game away in 20-10 win

1997: If you didn't see him play, you don't understand the level of stardom that Jason Sehorn reached after he broke out in #NYGiants NFC East Championship season. He was dominant & the sky was the limit. Madden named him to his All Madden Team. We were robbed of a great one

1997: HBD Jason Sehorn. Irvin was a physical mismatch at WR & used to torment #NYGiants . From 1991-1996, he put up 44 catches/717 yards/3 TDs & Dallas went 8-2 v NYG. Sehorn took over in 1996 & locked him down (14/176/0) & w/ 2 picks & NYG went 3-0 in their matchups

2020: HBD Ryan Lewis turns 30. Lewis joined #NYGiants practice squad before the start of the 2020 Covid season & he got in 5 games w/ 3 starts at CB before his season ended due to injury. Here leaping & breaking up a pass intended for McLaurin

1997: HBD Phillippi Sparks turns 55. He was #NYGiants 2nd rounder in 1992 out of Arizona St & played for NYG for 8 years. Paired w/ Jason Sehorn, he was part of one of the best CB duos in the NFL & had a big game in 7-7 tie at DC w/ a sack & 2 picks Jordin Sparks

1997: HBD Jason Sehorn turns 53. #NYGiants picked him in 2nd round of 94 draft. After not getting a start in his 1st 2 seasons, Sehorn broke out in 1996 w/ 5 picks & turned into one of the NFL's best CBs in 1997. His pick on Hoss put away a 30-10 NFCE clinching win

1987: Mark Bavaro never got the credit for the athlete that he was in his prime. Yes, he was a rugged blocker for #NYGiants who dragged tacklers around. But he also had the ability to run past DBs & make 1 handed catches & tip toe in back of the end zone for TDs

1993: Coming off a torn achilles at age 34, it wasn't clear what type of player Lawrence ‘LT’ Taylor was going to be. LT never sacked a Bears QB in his #NYGiants career. As Madden said 'LT will never be average' w/ 2 sacks including the game winner w/ his patented chop/fumble

1979: Daniel Jones ran for 708 yards & #NYGiants QB record of 7 TDs in 2022. Hostetler gave NYG an element to run in their 1990 Super Bowl title. But many forget that young Phil Simms was quite the scrambler himself, showing it here as a rookie on a TD drive

1990: HBD Craig Kupp turns 57. #NYGiants picked Kupp in 5th round of 1990 draft out of Pacific Lutheran & he got his 1st NFL action late in a pre-season win at Buffalo. He would spend time in the NFC East as a backup w/ Cards & Dallas. He is Cooper Kupp dad.

2011: Of all the big plays that Eli Manning was involved in, perhaps the most impressive skilled throw & catch in a big spot ever made was his connection w/ Mario Manningham late in Super Bowl XLVI in the game winning drive. Eli, TC & Chris Snee talk in more detail w/ Spike Lee

1986: Happy 62nd Birthday to #NYGiants WR Lionel Manuel. He missed most of 1986 w/ a knee injury but came back in playoffs & made 2 big catches in NFCC Game- a 3rd & 20 conversion & this 11 yard TD from Phil Simms to put NYG up 10-0 in the eventual 17-0 win

2019: HBD Corey Ballentine turns 28. #NYGiants picked him in 6th round of 2019 draft & played 1.5 seasons for NYG. Since then he has bounced around to Jets, Lions & Packers. As a rookie he picked off former & future NYG Davis Webb in the preseason to make the team

2018: HBD TE Scott Simonson turns 32. A NY/NJ guy, Simonson signed as a free agent w/ #NYGiants in 2018 & played 2 years w/ NYG. Following a 55 yard bomb to Sterling Shepard, he scored his 1st NFL TD on a 3 yard pass from Eli Manning in Indy

2000: Happy 48th Birthday to former #NYGiants TE & current HC of the Detroit Lions Dan Campbell. After Fassel's famous 'pushing my chips to the middle of the table' speech to make the playoffs, Campbell scored the 1st TD in NYG 31-7 win at Cards sparking a Super Bowl run

1989: There were a lot of great defenses in the 80s, but #NYGiants were the best on the goal line. So many top goal line players like Lawrence ‘LT’ Taylor Carl Banks Gary Reasons Leonard A. Marshall (NFL Legend) Pepper Johnson had a nose for the ball & here Steve DeOssie stuffed Philly on 4th & goal
