At last weekβs #KidicalMass , we asked for ideas and priorities for better streets for North Tyneside - here are a few of the suggestions (from riders of all ages).
- Cycle paths on every street, separated from motor vehicles
- Wider pavements for pedestrians

It was great to see so many people out for the Heaton branch of the Kidical Mass North East ride earlier.
150 people of all ages from Fenham, Gosforth and Heaton, all calling for #SafeStreetsNow

With huge thanks to various North Tyneside Council staff at all levels, we are now able to take our #kidicalmass ride along our fabulous seafront, using a combination of the brand new cycleway and safe on-road sections.

Carlton Reid Sally Watson It was a good evening, thanks for your input. However I came away with a despondent air, nothing seems to make a difference and we're doomed to yet more years of 'consultation' and inaction while Millions are spend on road networks will little or no question.
Hero of the night β present in a few of my slides β was Labourstone Ten years of holding firm in Waltham Forest Council Political leadership in creating happier, more liveable neighbourhoods is critical. Takes time, can be a rough ride. Hold firm.
