An unbelievable survival! A seemingly routine patient admitted to the Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital brings an unusual surprise. Check out Dr. Bert as he introduces an incredible patient who has had an interesting day!

This indicus (mangrove monitor) was hanging around to check out how we catch crocodiles. We made sure we moved him safe distance from all the croc action. One of the most stunning lizards in my opinion! Just another gorgeous resident of the Steve Irwin Wildlife Reserve.

Meet Olive. She is a gorgeous little common brushtail possum. Olive fell from a tree and her mum was nowhere in sight. She is currently in care at the Wildlife Hospital’s nursery, receiving around the clock treatment and care from the expert vet team. We are sending many get well

Today we tagged our 247th crocodile for research in the Wenlock River at the Steve Irwin Wildlife Reserve. We are dedicated to continuing the important science Steve first started, and we’re making even more special memories.
