Such large flocks of Sarus crane can be seen in agricultural fields, village ponds, wetlands & low lying areas in districts of central U.P. These magnificent cranes live in peace around human habitation, even nesting in paddy fields.

We collaborated with Hyderabad Birding Pals to gather data on the bird species in the section of NH-163 proposed for road widening. More than 96 species were recorded by the 23 participants over two days. This conclusively proves that the stretch supports rich biodiversity.
