📣 This is the most comprehensive I’ve ever seen from a mayoral candidate! 👏

✅ TOCs, pre-zoned transit corridors, no height limits at key nodes, no parking minimums in MTSAs
✅ Tackling angular…

I have met Alvin Tedjo, and discussed his vision for the City of City of Mississauga. From housing to transportation, sustainability, equity and community, Alvin gets it. He is bold, progressive and innovative. He has my support in the upcoming by-election, and I wish him the best.

Good morning with good news: Skyrocketing solar & wind generation will cause a 2% fall in fossil fuel (FF) generated electricity in 2024, as global RE growth exceeds electricity demand growth! History!

50% of nations are 5 years past peak FF electricity.

For all who are interested in mixed-use laneways, see Planning and Housing Committee Agenda Item 12.4 and, in particular, the screen captures I have provided below. This is a good starting point, with room for improvement. More to come. secure.toronto.ca/council/report…

Jane Jacobs reimagined cities.

A city like Toronto is more than just shapes on a map. It's the stories of millions of people.

It was fun to join folks for the launch of the 2024 Jane's Walk Toronto.

There are walks happening across the city this weekend: janeswalkfestivalto.com

Why is the City of Toronto so hell bent on capping the number of units in mid-rise buildings on Major Streets? What does this accomplish, and how does it help achieve study- based and broader city building objectives?

Missing Middle May is here in the beautiful city of Toronto.

Two big things:

1. The City's Major Streets Policy, which would legalize 6-storey apartment buildings on (you guessed it) Major Streets is making its way to the Planning and Housing Committee on May 9th.

Two of my students had the opportunity to present their group's final studio recommendations at Scarborough Civic Centre this afternoon to an audience that included Councillor Jamaal Myers and his staff, City Planning staff, and the leadership of Grace Reform Church.
