NASA has recently regained communication with Voyager 1, the most distant human-made object located 15.1 billion miles away. The Voyager probes, launched in 1977, continue to surpass their expected lifespans, venturing into the unknown realms of interstellar space.

Today we set sail within Peel Ports to undertake very successful trials and mid term safety audit with the Maritime and Coastguard Agency who were very happy and have reissued our passenger license for a further 12 months.

Thanks to Andy Wezo for the pic.

Train v Plane: the reality.

New research from Rail Delivery Group reveals that it’s 17 times better for the planet to take an London North Eastern Railway train instead of flying from London to Edinburgh.

That should be enough of a reason, but there’s more.

There was a time when trains would be diverted via the Settle-Carlisle Railway railway instead of buses along the M6. Passengers travelling on walk on and tickets on many long distance routes from southern English/Midlands can opt to travel via Leeds/Settle-Carlisle

To mark Easter, here is the Church of St Andrew in Ongar, Essex, thought to be the oldest standing wooden church in the world. ⛪

Tree-ring dating of the church's timbers suggests it was constructed around 1063.

The coke ovens at the Port Talbot steelworks were closed.
This was where they baked the coal used to make millions of tonnes of steel.
