During WWI, Idaho's wool industry thrived with 3.2 million sheep, requiring a large workforce. Young Basque men seeking opportunity immigrated to the U.S. in the 1880s, becoming remote sheepherders. To pass time, they carved 'arborglyphs' in aspen trees.

Congrats to Brianna Darrach of Sacramento, CA, the lucky winner of #BoiseState 's Grad Fair photoshoot raffle! Brianna is set to graduate on May 4 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, along with minors in Family Studies and Business 💙🧡

Last weekend was filled with vibrant dances, resonating drumbeats, and the rich embrace of culture and tradition at #BoiseState ’s Seven Arrows Powwow in ExtraMile Arena. Five indigenous Spring 2024 graduating Broncos were also recognized and honored with Pendleton blankets.

In 2019, Stephanie Donaldson and Kennedi Paul (BS, psychology, 2022) helped #BoiseState launch BroncoBOLD. The initiative focuses on mental health programming and activities for student-athletes, normalizing conversation about mental health.
