Thank you to our longstanding partners SIM Boston for their continued efforts to provide unique opportunities to #network , share, and socialize with hundreds of #ITprofessionals in #Massachusetts .

Students learned lab procedures such as pipetting and participated in an experiment that demonstrated how CRISPR uses gRNAs and Cas9 to target and cut specific DNA sequences.

Students also met Vertex employees and heard about their career journeys in STEM. #SeeYourselfInSTEM

As part of #MassSTEMWeek , our partner Vertex Pharmaceuticals hosted a #STEM Class Visit for high school students interested in a career in a STEM field!

MassEducation Secretary Jim Peyser paid a special visit to Vertex's Boston Learning Lab to meet the students from the John D. O'Bryant School of Mathematics and Science.
