Interesting irony re: the new SmackDown/WWE Tag Team title belts. They were designed to look like the old-school belts of the 1980s/90s, but meanwhile *that* title was the World Tag Team title, whose lineage is actually part of the current Raw/World Tag Team title, not this one.

Doesn’t get nearly the credit he deserves for propelling ECW into must-see TV and making it the most talked about company in wrestling. Those shoot-style long-form promos he would do were like nothing done in wrestling before, and are still being imitated 30 years later.
