Christian Wakeford MP Lying and misleading again Christian Wakeford MP . This was Conservative Party manifesto commitments on animal welfare. Where’s the mention of fur? But then you were more than happy to jump ship on the manifesto you were elected on without offering your constituents a by-election.

Zac Goldsmith is a loan, isolated voice in Government. His colleagues have realised that banning fur would do nothing to improve animal welfare, but is a mere token supported by a small number of activists theguardian.com/politics/2023/…

Common sense. No change from previous Govt position but further recognition a ban would cost 1000s jobs and do nothing to improve welfare. Fur sector has comprehensive assurance and traceability schemes in place guaranteeing welfare standards telegraph.co.uk/politics/2023/…

Desperate stuff from PETA. They completely failed to make the case that a natural material should be replaced with plastic (the MoD did test it & it failed 4 out of the 5 criteria) and so they are reduced to trying to bully their way by legal action. Sad

Glad to see that the UK's Ministry of Defence standing behind the science that *real* fur from Canada's well-managed black bear harvest is always superior to *fake* fur.

NEW Remember PETA threatening the MoD with legal action if it didn’t adopt its Ecopel plastic fur? Well, confirmed, new tests show that it failed 4 of the 5 tests required to be viable alternative. We look forward to PETA’s legal challenge. Faux = Plastic questions-statements.parliament.uk/written-questi…
