Used to have very different feelings about how this game ended, but now I’m just glad she got to experience this before she left. Sending love and hugs to the entire women’s soccer family, especially Stanford Women's Soccer.

Not that the game needs another Twitter take, but I don’t think there’s anything to read into other than Sweden had an amazing performance & is top quality, & the #USWNT had a poor performance. The women’s game has advanced to the point where that can happen. It’s just game 1!

Hard for me to chime in on the USA’s goal celebration drama. I hated scoring goals, even in big games, because it meant I had to endure the suffering of jogging back to half field. If anything yesterday I was bitter/jealous of all the extra energy I never had 😂

My biggest pet peeve in soccer is when someone hits a banger of a pass and the receiver messes it up but gives a thumbs up as to say “great work keep that up”.
